In 2021, it is planned to train 1,000 junior specialists for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan by military instructors of the 201st Russian military base.

Training is carried out at once at two sites Lyaur and Sambuli. It passes through 14 military specialties: driver and operator of the T-72 tank, commander of the BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system, gunner of the 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery gun, gunner of the BTR-80 armored personnel carrier, gunner-operator of an infantry fighting vehicle BMP-2, scout, grenade launcher and others.

The course lasts an average of three months. The training will end on July 17 with the execution of control firing from the standard weapons of combat vehicles, small arms and grenade launchers.

The 201st military base stationed in Tajikistan is Russia’s largest military facility outside its borders. Located in two cities – Dushanbe and Bokhtar. It includes motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance units, air defense units, RCB protection and communications.
