This year, 30 thousand people will be able to start resettlement, in 2022 – 43 thousand, and in 2023 – about 55 thousand.

308 houses are planned to be transferred for occupancy in the first five years of the renovation program, said the head Moscow City Construction Department Rafik Zagrutdinov

“We are faced with the task from the start of the renovation program until 2023 to transfer 308 houses with a total area of about 4.5 million square meters for settlement. This will allow 160 thousand Muscovites to move to new apartments, ”said the head of the department.

He noted that the pace and volume of housing construction under the renovation program will grow in the coming years.

“We plan to annually lease at least 1.5 million square meters of housing under the renovation program. Thanks to this, the volume of resettlement will grow every year. This year, such a pace of construction will allow starting the resettlement of about 30 thousand residents, next year – 43 thousand, and in 2023 – about 55 thousand, ”Rafik Zagrutdinov also added.

In mid-June, according to the renovation program, the first hundred houses were resettled in Moscow, half of them had already been dismantled. Now 40 thousand Muscovites from 274 houses are moving into new apartments, 288 more objects are at the design and construction stage.

A renovation program is being implemented in more than 50 districts of Moscow, it was approved in 2017. Participants are provided with comfortable apartments in modern buildings. The city provides support at the stage of paperwork and when moving.
