On June 28, Acting Rector Mikhail G. Troyansky met with Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Daniela Rodriguez at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The conversation centered on the situation in the Latin American region and in Venezuela, in particular. D. Rodriguez informed in detail about the activities of the country’s government to overcome difficult internal political and economic challenges. The emphasis was placed on the desire of the Venezuelans to establish a lasting civil peace and to resolve the most acute foreign policy problems as soon as possible.
The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the Russian leadership for the assistance provided in the fight against the pandemic.
MG Troyansky spoke in detail about the educational process, scientific and publishing activities of the Academy, as well as about programs and courses for professional development for domestic and foreign diplomats.
MG Troyansky invited Mrs. D. Rodriguez to write an article for the new electronic journal “Diplomatic Service and Practice”, which is focused on the practical aspects of the work of diplomats. The offer was accepted with gratitude.
The talks were attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela to Russia Carlos Rafael Faria Tortosa and former Russian ambassadors in Latin America: Vice-Rector V.F. Zaemsky and Head of the Department of Professional Retraining in International Relations P.A. Sergiev.
