Air defense units of the Russian military base in Tajikistan received 20 modern portable anti-aircraft missile systems (MANPADS) “Verba”.

Anti-aircraft complex “Verba” is designed to destroy cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles on head-on and catch-up courses. It is capable of hitting low-emitting targets of a conventional enemy under conditions of false thermal interference at an altitude of 10 to 4.5 thousand meters and at a distance of 500 to 6.5 thousand meters. The automated control system allows you to find an air target, determine its characteristics and distribute targets between anti-aircraft gunners and fire weapons, taking into account their location.

The 201st military base stationed in Tajikistan is Russia’s largest military facility outside its borders. Located in two cities – Dushanbe and Bokhtar. It includes motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance units, air defense units, RCB protection and communications.
