A detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet left the main naval base in Baltiysk and headed for St. Petersburg, where the ships will take part in the Main naval parade in honor of the Day of the Russian Navy.

During the inter-base passage, the crews of the small rocket ship “Geyser” and the missile boat “Dimitrovgrad” will perform a number of combat training missions for organizing air defense, destroying training floating mines, conducting artillery combat with surface ships of a simulated enemy, as well as maneuvering ships when sailing in the composition of the detachment.

In addition, the crews will work out the elements of narrow navigation, carry out a number of trainings to improve the actions of the personnel in response to alarms. It is planned that the detachment will arrive at the Great Kronstadt raid in early July.

More than 10 combat units of the Baltic Fleet have already arrived in St. Petersburg from the main naval base of the Baltic Fleet to take part in the festive events dedicated to the Day of the Navy. Among them are the Stoyky corvette, the Zeleny Dol and Odintsovo small missile ships, the Alexander Obukhov and Pavel Henov minesweepers, the Dmitrov diesel-electric submarine and others.

On July 25, 20 warships, boats and submarines of the Baltic and Leningrad naval bases of the Baltic Fleet will take part in the main naval parade and military sports festival, which will be held in St. Petersburg and Kronstadt. Also, 8 patrol and anti-sabotage boats were involved in the parade.

To support the event, more than 35 tugs, hydrographic and rescue vessels, tankers, floating cranes and support vessels of various classes will be involved.
