About 140 young scientists from the regions of Siberia, the Urals and the Volga region will join the scientific companies of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation during the spring-summer draft of 2021. He noted that out of the total number of young scientists in the current draft, almost 70 young men will go to serve in the only military innovative technopolis “Era”, located in Anapa. In the innovative technopolis, young people will be involved in the process of improving and developing areas of robotics, nanoelectronics and biotechnology in the interests of the Russian army. “In the current draft, the number of young people selected for service in the Era technopolis from the regions of Central Military District has grown by almost 10 percent compared to the same period in 2020,” A. Linkov said.

In total, in the spring of 2021, the military commissariats of the Central Military District will call up more than 52 thousand people for military service. The conscription will take place in 28 constituent entities of the Russian Federation of the Central Military District, with the exception of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, where conscription events are held only in the fall.
