From June 29 to July 1 in Ufa at the stadium of the R.A. Batalova hosted the Russian championship in track and field athletics among juniors and juniors under 20 years old. Private sports company CSKA (Samara) Oleg Yakushkin won first place among hammer throwers.

Seven athletes took part in the hammer throw discipline at the Russian championship. Soldier Oleg Yakushkin from Togliatti (coach Sergei Sergeev, school # 3) won first place with a score of 68.77 m, Nikita Belennikov from the Stavropol Territory won silver for a result of 66.22 m, Andrei Ovsyannikov from the Rostov region closed the top three by sending hammer to the mark of 65.80 m.

“At the junior championship of Russia, I showed not my best result, the very hot weather interfered, – said Oleg Yakushkin in an interview with the press center of CSKA / Samara. – But I will do my best to get in shape and show the best results at the European Championship in Estonia from July 15 to 17, at the Russian Youth Spartakiad on August 1 and at the world championship on August 17-20 in Kenya.
