With the arrival of Russian peacekeepers on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, local residents felt safe and under reliable protection.

In accordance with the decision of the Minister of Defense of Russia, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, 27 observation posts were deployed on the contact line, which ensure the safe movement of residents and vehicles, and the return of refugees to their own homes.

The Russian Center for Humanitarian Response has carried out over 2 thousand humanitarian actions with the distribution of essential items, food kits, medicines with a total weight of more than 30.2 tons to those in need.

Russian peacekeepers assisted in the resumption of the educational process in 13 schools, in which more than 6 thousand schoolchildren returned to classes.

Russian military doctors provided medical assistance to more than 1,500 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh. Hospitals and rural medical posts received 2,810 kg of essential medicines, septic tanks, dressings and other property. More than 600 units of various medical equipment were transferred to city hospitals.

Thanks to the activities of Russian peacekeepers to ensure security on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, over 80 km of power lines, more than 30 transformer substations have been restored, which made it possible to provide electricity to 63 settlements.

Fourteen settlements are provided with water thanks to the construction of new water mains.

More than 1,750 pilgrims are escorted to the temples in the immediate vicinity of the demarcation line.

In total, since November 23, 2020, Russian military engineers and specialists of the International Mine Action Center have cleared 2,165 hectares of territory, 657.3 km of roads, 1,892 buildings, including 30 socially significant objects, from unexploded ordnance, 25,640 explosive objects have been found and neutralized.

In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were announced.

To control the implementation of the agreements reached in Nagorno-Karabakh, a Russian peacekeeping contingent of 1,960 servicemen, 380 units of military and special equipment, a Humanitarian Response Center, and a mobile military hospital were deployed.
