The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy made a planned working trip to Severodvinsk.

The main point of the program of the trip of Admiral Nikolay Evmenov was a meeting at the country’s leading nuclear submarine shipbuilding enterprise JSC PO “Sevmash”, dedicated to the delivery program of 2021.

Sevmash General Director Mikhail Budnichenko, Vice-President of the United Shipbuilding Corporation Vladimir Korolev, heads of enterprises and organizations of cooperation involved in submarine shipbuilding took part in the meeting.

“During the meeting, we gave an assessment to those submarines that are already performing tasks at sea and those that are still on the stocks. I am confident that the 2021 acceptance program for nuclear submarines of the Borey-A and Yasen-M projects will be fully implemented. We are closely cooperating on this program with the United Shipbuilding Corporation and the leadership of Sevmash, ”said the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, summing up the results of the meeting.

Admiral Nikolay Evmenov also noted that Sevmash submarines have always caused pride among sailors. On July 25, for the first time, three submarines built at the enterprise – “Knyaz Vladimir”, “Vepr” and “Orel” – will take part in the Main Naval Parade.

Also at Sevmash, the commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy checked the progress of the repair and modernization of the heavy nuclear missile cruiser “Admiral Nakhimov” and, in a conversation with the general director of the enterprise, Mikhail Budnichenko, was informed about the process of active development of the plant’s production capacities.
