According to the legend of fire-tactical exercises at the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant, a fire occurred in the main oil tank in the engine room of the 3rd power unit. Fire fighters from the special fire and rescue unit No. 35 and fire and rescue units of the 59th fire and rescue detachment arrived at the scene of the simulated fire.

The fire fighters had to work surrounded by electrical installations under voltage, so dielectric equipment was used to extinguish the equipment. Foam from medium expansion generators was fed for extinguishing.

Employees of the fire and rescue garrison have worked out techniques and methods of extinguishing a fire, as well as the interaction of the fire and rescue service with the administration of the facility and life support services.

Thanks to the competent actions of the personnel and the well-coordinated work of the fire-fighters, the simulated fire was localized and extinguished in the shortest possible time.

Also, during the exercises on the territory of the special fire and rescue unit No. 35, the fire fighters demonstrated to their colleagues how to work on a fire simulator, and then showed in practice how to fight fire on transformers of a nuclear power plant using compression foam.

In total, 62 personnel and 10 units of special equipment were involved in the exercises.
