In total, 600 units of electric passenger transport in Moscow will be equipped with the products of this company.

In 2021, Technopolis Moscow, a resident of the special economic zone (SEZ), will supply components for 200 new Moscow electric buses. In total, 600 units of electric passenger transport in Moscow will be equipped with the products of this company, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations. Vladimir Efimov… In June 2021, the Moscow fleet of electric buses totaled 650 cars; by the end of the year it is planned to increase it to 1,000 units.

“Today, most of the batteries and traction equipment for passenger electric vehicles running in the capital are produced by a resident of the Moscow SEZ. Previously, he has already manufactured and delivered components for 400 electric buses in the capital, and this year he will supply batteries for another 200 similar cars, ”the deputy mayor said.

The company is Europe’s largest manufacturer of batteries for electric buses and exports its products to Belarus, Turkey and the Middle East.

“A resident of the Moscow SEZ uses lithium-titanate storage batteries to equip electric buses, which allows cars to travel 40-50 kilometers on a single charge, spending only six to 10 minutes on recharging. In addition, the applied engineering solutions enable electric buses to operate even at record low and high temperatures, which is very important for the changeable weather in the capital, ”said the head Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the City of Moscow Alexander Prokhorov

The company received the status of a resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ at the beginning of 2021. At the Alabushevo site, the company plans to create a plant for the production of batteries for electric buses and the serial production of electric trucks.

The maximum capacity of the plant will be one thousand sets of storage batteries and 500 electric trucks annually. Investments in the project will reach 375 million rubles, said Gennady Degtev, General Director of the Moscow Technopolis.

The status of a resident of the special economic zone of the capital allows the company to significantly save on taxes and other mandatory payments. This enables the company to invest additional funds in the development of service maintenance for the supplied equipment.

At the end of 2020, Drive Electro presented the first electric truck in Russia, Moskva. The electric car was handed over to a large Russian retail for test operation. In case of a successful test of the car, the company plans to produce 200 more electric trucks for the retailer at its own plant.
