The work is carried out on behalf of the President.

More than 2.4 billion rubles will be allocated to the regions to provide free medicines to patients with coronavirus infection. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The money will be directed from the Government’s reserve fund. This will provide drugs for almost 790 thousand people.

We are talking about patients who receive medical care on an outpatient basis, that is, they are treated at home under the supervision of doctors. To prevent the unfavorable course of the disease and the development of complications, they are prescribed combined treatment regimens. All necessary medications are provided free of charge with a prescription from your doctor.

The decision was announced on July 9 at a meeting of the Coordination Council to combat the spread of coronavirus infection. Mikhail Mishustin drew the attention of his colleagues that the epidemiological situation in the country remains difficult. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that it is necessary to continue to increase the volume of testing in order to timely identify sick people and provide them with assistance, maintain a reserve of beds in hospitals and quickly respond to changes in the situation.

The document will be published.
