Military divers of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL) took part in a special exercise at the base of the ships using modern equipment and equipment.

The divers’ descents were carried out in the mooring area to a depth of 10 m using modern diving universal equipment SVU-5. This kit is designed to ensure the life of a diver when performing underwater technical, emergency rescue and other types of work at depths of up to 60 m at a water temperature of -2 to +35 degrees. The equipment is efficient after prolonged use in fresh and salt water (35%).

Before diving, the divers underwent a theoretical training course in their specialty for several months, fulfilled the standards, including special engineering and reconnaissance divers, and also performed descents in a specially equipped pool on the basis of the Caspian training complex, where they learned control the oxygen supply, navigate in the water in conditions of limited visibility, give signals with gestures and using underwater lights.

After completing a course of special training, the divers began to work out the elements for examining the bottom of an open reservoir, carried out a set of measures to detect dangerous objects with their subsequent extraction to the surface. Also, during the summer period of training, the servicemen of the Caspian Flotilla will improve their professional skills as part of rescue teams when marine units perform amphibious training using military equipment.
