Russian air defense crews, which this year will perform in China at the “Clear Sky” competition as part of the International Army Games, are undergoing final training at the Ground Forces Air Defense Training Center.

During training, anti-aircraft gunners perform live firing from a 12.7-mm Kord heavy machine gun and Igla MANPADS at targets simulating an attack helicopter, an unmanned aerial vehicle, as well as high-speed air targets flying both towards and in pursuit.

In the course of training, anti-aircraft gunners pay great attention to physical training, training the passage of the 400 m obstacle course at the stage of the combined race.

Also, servicemen improve their skills in driving an armored vehicle of increased security Typhoon-air defense over rough terrain with overcoming various obstacles: a ford, a slope, an area of an explosive obstacle and others in conditions of the use of a conventional enemy of chemical weapons.

The team will be based on the best teams of anti-aircraft gunners, winners and prize-winners of the All-Army competitions.
