Re-vaccination against coronavirus infection among residents of boarding schools in Moscow begins on July 15. Six months ago, a mass vaccination with “Sputnik V” took place in boarding houses, which covered about 97 percent of residents who have no contraindications, and 84 percent of the total number of residents living in boarding schools. During this time, not a single case of the disease was recorded among those who were vaccinated.

“The Moscow nursing homes are home to about 15 thousand residents, on average, over the age of 60 years. At the end of last year, we carried out a mass vaccination of those living in these institutions with Sputnik V. Without taking into account those who had medical contraindications to the vaccine, the vast majority were vaccinated. And since then, not a single case of coronavirus among those vaccinated has been recorded in boarding houses. Six months later, we are ready to start re-vaccination of those living in institutions in order to maintain zero morbidity there, ”said Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

The staff of the capital’s boarding schools work according to the usual schedule. However, in connection with the emergence of a new strain of coronavirus, relatives and friends living in boarding houses and boarding schools are asked to temporarily restrict visits. Preference is given to video communication and telephone. Visits are possible in exceptional cases, provided that the visitor has a negative PCR test done no later than 72 hours in advance.

The health of residents of boarding houses is regularly monitored by medical workers. Temperatures, blood oxygen levels are measured daily, and rounds are carried out.

Employees of city boarding houses worked in continuous shifts of 14 days twice: from April to July 2020 and from October 2020 to April 2021. This has become a necessary measure in order to protect people who live in city stationary social institutions. Among them are veterans, people of the older generation, those with disabilities and chronic diseases.

In Moscow you can free get a vaccination from coronavirus infection by appointment in one of the vaccination centers based on polyclinics, as well as without an appointment in the pavilions “Healthy Moscow” or the work points of mobile teams in popular public places.

An additional vaccination incentive program, which applies to all citizens over 18 years of age. On Wednesday, July 14, there will be five cars worth about one million rubles each.

Information about the result of the drawing will be announced on the air of the Moscow 24 TV channel. The names of the winners will be published on July 14 on mos.ru and the channel’s website. In order to check whether you are one of them, you need to enter the OMS policy number or series and passport number in special service.
