Order dated July 10, 2021 No. 1889-r

On the instructions of the President, 4.95 billion rubles will be allocated in 2021 to carry out major repairs in pedagogical universities, as well as to purchase new equipment for them. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The money will come from the Government’s reserve fund. All pedagogical universities subordinate to the Ministry of Education will receive funding. There are 33 such universities in Russia in total.

“To give modern high-quality knowledge, future teachers themselves must master new technologies, be able to work in an interactive educational environment. Today it is an integral part of the educational process, ”Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting with the Deputy Prime Ministers on July 12.

By 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Government to allocate 10 billion rubles for the repair and technical equipment of pedagogical universities. Addressing the Federal Assembly, the head of state also asked the Government to pay close attention to the modern training of future teachers, because the future of Russia largely depends on them.
