Within the framework of the project for the training of personnel for the capital industry “Moscow Technical School”, the first direction was opened – “Communication technology”. The corresponding agreement was concluded by leading Moscow universities, industrial partners, development partners and the Moscow Government, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for economic policy and property and land relations. “A study carried out this year by the Moscow Industrial Development Agency showed that a shortage of personnel with the necessary qualifications is one of the pressing problems of the capital’s industry, more than 20 percent of the surveyed enterprises said about it. Thanks to the Moscow Technical School, the capital in the near future will receive a large number of highly qualified engineering personnel. We have already launched the first pilot direction: in the next three years we plan to train 1200 engineers of microelectronics and instrument-making enterprises in the direction of “Communication technologies”, ”the deputy mayor explained.
The new focus includes training in areas such as quantum technologies, the Internet of Things, the Industrial Internet of Things, 5G technologies and industrial data processing. Financial experts say that the qualifications of specialists will increase the average productivity in the microelectronics and instrumentation industries by 10 percent by 2024, that is, one employee will be able to produce products worth 1.85 million rubles.
In the first quarter of 2022, intensive development of the project is planned.

Earlier, a cooperation agreement within the framework of the Moscow Technical School project was signed by the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin, Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) Svetlana Chupsheva and Chairman of the State Development Corporation of Russia “VEB.RF” Igor Shuvalov at Petersburg International Economic Forum, which took place in June this year.
“Moscow Technical School” includes a network of centers of technological and production competence (CTPK), equipped with modern engineering and technological infrastructure, for advanced training and retraining of personnel for the needs of the Moscow industry.
