A meeting of the District Council of territorial bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Ural Federal District was held in the GUFSIN of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region. The meeting was attended by the head of the GUFSIN, Lieutenant General of the Internal Service Alexander Fedorov, his deputy colonel of the internal service Yevgeny Ustinov, the head of the OVSRLS of the GUFSIN, Colonel of the Internal Service, Maria Orlova, and representatives of the leadership of the territorial bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia that are part of the Ural Federal District.
The results of the Council’s work for the first half of 2021 were summed up. GUFSIN Lieutenant-General of the Internal Service Alexander Fedorov Alexander Fedorov told the audience that a large-scale exhibition of products of the GUFSIN institutions included in the Ural Federal District was held, and Bashkiria was also involved. According to him, in the future it is planned to involve other regions of the Volga region in the exhibition. He also said that the plans for the future are to hold a number of cultural events, including KVN, an integrated martial arts tournament dedicated to the memory of the Heroes of Russia, and a gathering of young employees. The plans will be adjusted taking into account the epidemiological situation, in particular, the gathering of young employees is planned to be held in the videoconferencing regime.
At the end of the meeting, the guests were presented with copies of the book “The Penitentiary System of the Sverdlovsk Region: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”, dedicated to the history and modernity of the GUFSIN of Russia in the Sverdlovsk Region.
Previously, such a publication, which would have collected detailed information about the history and modernity of the region’s penitentiary system, its structural divisions, departments, services and institutions, did not exist.
