Officers-instructors of the district training center for training junior specialists of the Central Military District, stationed in the Sverdlovsk region, completed the training cycle for more than 300 military personnel of the armed forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Training of Uzbek military specialists took place at the Termez and Sazagan training grounds in the Surkhandarya and Samarkand regions of Uzbekistan.

The training program included day and night tactical exercises as part of motorized rifle units, fire training using weapons of modernized armored personnel carriers BTR-82, exercises of control firing from grenade launchers. Also, as part of the training course, classes were held on shooting and artillery fire control using technical reconnaissance equipment.

Earlier it was reported that the military personnel of the Central Military District will take part in the joint Russian-Uzbek exercises, which will take place in early August in the Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan. According to the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, during the summer training period, nine joint international exercises will be held on the territory of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The main event of joint training of troops will be the anti-terrorist exercise Peace Mission 2021.
