Moscow systematically supports companies working with the latest technologies. Since this year, the city has begun to provide financial assistance to organizations that unite to create complex innovative projects.
Moscow continues to accept applications for grants for the implementation of cooperative complex innovative projects. Participants of intersectoral associations within the Moscow Innovation Cluster (MIC), which jointly create large-scale, resource-intensive high-tech developments, can receive financial support from the city. Applications are accepted until July 30.
The grant for intersectoral clusters was introduced this year. According to the requirements, consortia should work on the project, including from two to five participants of the MIC.
“Cross-sectoral clusters are created to make it easier for scientific organizations and technology business to solve the problems they face. By joining forces, they can achieve even greater results. Already, thanks to such cooperation, 20 large innovative projects are being implemented in Moscow in different directions – from new materials to artificial intelligence. This year, in addition to the existing subsidies and grants, we have approved a special support measure for ambitious and breakthrough developments, ”said

The funds of the new grant can be used to reimburse investments in the reconstruction and repair of the site where the work on the technological project is underway. It can be a laboratory, production or other capital construction facility. If it is planned to expand the area, the city will help with financing the construction or buying a new new building. In addition, innovators are compensated for the costs of purchasing the necessary equipment and software, as well as the results of intellectual activity or rights to them.
Up to 25 percent of the project costs are subject to reimbursement, but not more than 200 million rubles per year, or a total of not more than 600 million rubles for three years. Both direct costs and the cost of paying interest on a loan are taken into account within the key rate of the Central Bank of Russia.

Cluster members who implement complex innovative projects on their own also have the opportunity to receive a grant. It covers up to 15 percent of the cost of developing an innovative solution or creating a product using the latest technology. The maximum amount of support is no more than 600 million rubles over three years. Acceptance of applications goes on until July 30.
Moscow innovation cluster – a platform for the implementation of innovations and the development of cooperation between large corporations, industrial enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses, educational and scientific organizations, development institutions and the city. The cluster includes more than 21 thousand organizations. They have access to tools, services and support measures to create and scale technology projects.
The cluster is supervised by the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development in conjunction with the Department of Information Technology.
