In Moscow, in the Palace of Gymnastics of Irina Viner-Usmanova, competitions of the Challenge Cup in rhythmic gymnastics were held. Army athlete Dina Averina became the first in the individual all-around, as well as in exercises with a hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon.

Thirteen-time world champion, six-time European champion, three-time winner of the II European Games Dina Averina collected all the gold awards of the Challenge Cup stage in Moscow.

In the individual all-around, the army athlete scored 111.65 points based on the results of four exercises, having won the gold award. The second result was shown by the Russian woman Lala Kramarenko – 104.75. Ekaterina Vedeneeva from Slovenia closed the top three – 93.30 points.

There was no equal to Dina in the exercise with the hoop, having received 27.30 points for the execution of her program. The second place was taken by Kramarenko – 26.80. The third was the representative of Latvia Elizaveta Polstyanaya – 24.35.

In the ball exercise, the CSKA representative also won the gold medal, gaining 29.40 points. Lala Kramarenko (28.15) won silver, Ekaterina Vedeneeva of Slovenia won bronze (24.85).

In the exercise with the ribbon, Dina Averina excelled with a score of 25.90 points. Kramarenko finished second – 25.50. The third – Vedeneeva – 23.05.

And in the exercise with clubs, the army gymnast again ascended the first step of the podium, gaining 29.00 points for her performance. The silver medal was taken by Kramarenko (28.25), the bronze – by Vedeneeva (25.40).

Dina’s sister – four-time world champion, nine-time European champion Arina Averina – missed the competition due to a leg injury.

The Challenge Cup stage in Moscow became the final tournament before the Olympics in 2021. The games will be held from 23 July to 8 August.
