On July 12, a military pilot, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Georgy Vasilyevich Fedorov, celebrated his 95th birthday. The employees of the correctional colony №12 congratulated Georgy Vasilyevich on his birthday.

The head of the personnel department and work with personnel, Elena Menkova, and the head of the psychological laboratory, Alena Smolnikova, presented the veteran with a welcome address from the head of IK-12, Dmitry Nekrasov. In the text of his congratulations, the head of the colony notes that the veteran’s life is an example for the modern generation and a reason to be proud of our people, who with honor overcame the most terrible trials of the war years.

At the festive table, the wife of the hero of the day, Iraida Andreevna, performed romances, and Elena Menkova and Alena Smolnikova sang patriotic songs. Georgy Vasilyevich was presented with a gift wishing good health and longevity, love of family and friends. On behalf of all employees of the colony, the guests expressed their endless gratitude for the peaceful sky over their heads, for the happiness of living and working in a free and strong country.

Georgy Vasilyevich left for the war right from school. On March 18, 1943, the recruit Fedorov was sent to the Kharkov Military Aviation School of Shooters-Bombardiers, and upon graduation he was sent to the 111th Berlin Red Banner Aviation Regiment.
