In the first three months of this year, residents of the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow increased production by a third compared to the same period last year. They produced goods and services worth 3.7 billion rubles, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations. Vladimir Efimov.
“In the first quarter of this year, the residents of the special economic zone produced goods worth 3.7 billion rubles, which is 28 percent more than in the same period last year. This indicator is at the level of the first quarter of 2019. The main volume – more than 70 percent – was provided by enterprises of microelectronics, optics and robotics clusters, which produced products worth 2.6 billion rubles. The three leaders include enterprises of pharmaceutical and medical clusters, as well as those working in the field of information and communication technologies, ”said Vladimir Efimov.
The deputy mayor also clarified that the total volume of products produced by residents for the entire period of work in the SEZ reached 85.3 billion rubles. The total number of jobs in the first quarter of 2021 exceeded 7.3 thousand.
In the first three months of 2021, more than 150 new jobs have appeared at the enterprises of the Moscow Technopolis. The leaders in this indicator are the companies working in the field of information and communication technologies. They provided more than half of the jobs. New employees came to enterprises specializing in digital printing, software development and telecommunications solutions.
In addition, at the beginning of the year, the state was expanded by pharmaceutical production, microelectronic enterprises, and solution developers in the energy supply industry.
“SEZ residents produce a wide range of high-tech products in various industries: from electronics and nanomaterials to pharmaceuticals and telecommunications equipment. The development of production facilities is facilitated by the special conditions of the capital’s special economic zone, which are created to stimulate innovations in industry and the growth of technological business, ”said Gennady Degtev, General Director of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
To the composition of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscowincludes five territories with a total area of 223.3 hectares. One of them is located in Pechatniki and four in Zelenograd: Alabushevo, Mikron, MIET and Angstrem. More than 180 high-tech companies are localized on the territory of the SEZ.
