Mikhail Mishustin visited the Tver Carriage Works

Tver Carriage Works (TVZ) is the only enterprise in Russia for the production of single-deck and double-deck passenger cars of locomotive traction, one of the largest manufacturers of electric trains. Since 2002 it has been a part of Transmashholding JSC. The number of employees of the plant is about 9.4 thousand.

The available production facilities allow the plant to simultaneously carry out work on the manufacture of several models of single-deck and double-deck passenger cars: compartment sleeping and with armchairs for sitting, open type – with armchairs for seating and reserved seats, as well as bodies of subway cars, trams, various types of baggage cars, special purpose cars and new generation electric trains.

In 2018, the Tver Carriage Works, under an agreement with the Central Suburban Passenger Company, implemented a flagship project to create Ivolga electric trains for Moscow Central Diameters. In 2021, the third modification of the electric train, Ivolga 3.0, was created. The maximum speed of the new modification is 160 km / h, the acceleration rate has increased by 10%.

The geography of foreign supplies of TVZ products includes Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Mongolia, Egypt. Trains formed from carriages produced by the Tver Carriage Works run on international routes to Helsinki, Nice, Sofia, Belgrade, Warsaw and other European cities.

JSC Transmashholding, which includes TVZ, is the largest Russian manufacturer of rolling stock for railways and urban transport systems. TMH manufactures locomotives of all existing classes, electric and diesel trains, metro cars, locomotive-hauled passenger and freight cars, diesel engines, and castings. The number of employees is 41 thousand people.

The holding structure includes 12 production sites in Russia and the Luganskteplovoz enterprise. The company offers a full range of products and services – from the design and development of new rolling stock to modernization, life cycle service contracts and digital traffic control systems. The geography of work covers more than 30 countries.

TMH actively supplies products to the markets of near and far abroad. Over the past three years, mainline and shunting diesel locomotives have been delivered to Mongolia, metro trains to Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, diesel locomotives and electric locomotives to Uzbekistan, passenger cars to Kazakhstan, Belarus and Egypt, metro trains for Hungary and Bulgaria have been modernized.
