In accordance with the plan approved by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, about 20 warships and boats of various classes and displacement will take part in the first training session of the Main Naval Parade in the water area of ​​the Neva River in St. Petersburg. The training will take place from 05.00 to 06.00 on July 13.

During the training on the established fairway in the Neva river, as part of tactical groups, small missile ships, mine defense ships, missile boats, the latest anti-sabotage, landing, patrol boats of the Raptor type and anti-sabotage boats of the Grachonok type will be paraded in the tactical groups.

A working group consisting of representatives of the Main Command of the Navy, the command of the Baltic Fleet and the Leningrad naval base will measure the intervals between ships and check that the crews of ships and boats have completed the task of maintaining a given speed and keeping ships on a given course while following them along the Neva channel from Blagoveshchenskoye to Troitsky bridges. The organization of communications with ships and compliance with navigational safety measures will also be checked.

Particular attention will be paid to verifying the actions of the ship’s crews “Main command post of the ship – Combat information post – Navigator of the ship”, specialists of navigational combat units of ships, as well as watch signalmen.

The results of the first night training of ships on the Neva will be reported to the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy.
