Additional traffic lights, bicycle parking, modern stopping points for ground passenger transport and intercepting parking lots for cars will appear near the stations. A bicycle path will also be built.
The Moscow government approved a project for the comprehensive improvement of the territories adjacent to the Setun and Rabochiy Poselok stations of the first Moscow Central Diameter (MCD-1). Their area is 70.5 hectares. The decree was signed Sergei Sobyanin.
Both stations were reconstructed in 2019 in preparation for the opening of traffic on MCD-1.
According to the project, a bicycle path will be built, which will run along Marshal Nedelina and Barvikhinskaya streets. It will connect Setun and Rabochiy Poselok stations. For the convenience of crossing the railway tracks, two staircases will be erected from the overpass of the North-West Expressway (SZH), leading to public transport stops.
Reconstruction of adjacent streets and roads is also planned, and pedestrian sidewalks will appear here. The work will be carried out, including on Gorbunov (1.25 kilometers) and Marshal Nedelin (1.08 kilometers) streets, the carriageway of which will be expanded to four lanes. Next to the Kuntsevsky market, a 270-meter section of Projected Passage No. 652a will be built.
Additional traffic lights, bicycle parking, modern ground passenger transport stops and intercepting parking lots for cars will appear near the Setun and Rabochiy Poselok stations. Passengers will be able to pass from stations to stops under dry-feet canopies that protect them from rain and snow.
It is planned to build a multi-level garage complex for 500 cars on Gorbunov Street.
Also, the reconstruction of engineering communications will be carried out and the development of infrastructure will be ensured. It is planned to build two transformer substations and outdoor lighting networks, specialists will lay heat supply networks, power lines.
