An increase in the combat capabilities of the Airborne Forces (Airborne Forces) for the operational fulfillment of missions to suppress crisis situations is envisaged through the development and equipping of them with modern weapons and military equipment.

Over the past three years, the Airborne Forces have successfully conducted a series of assault and assault experiments on helicopters, including on the Vostok-2018 maneuvers, the Center-2019 and Kavkaz-2020 joint strategic exercises, where various types of weapons were tested, military and special equipment.

An important element of the exercises was the organization of a command and control system for joint actions by units of the Airborne Forces and Army Aviation.

Within the framework of the Army-2021 International Military-Technical Forum, the Airborne Forces command is organizing a round table, which will become a platform for discussing the prospects for the development of automated control systems for the Airborne Forces.

The relevance of the round table is due to several main factors: the creation of new generation automated control systems, joint work with the industry to modernize existing and develop new generation control systems, as well as a number of works on military scientific research in the field of control organization and during the use of airborne assault formations in the context of modern highly dynamic military conflicts, including hybrid ones.

Specialists from various industries – developers, manufacturers, scientists, operators and customers – will gather at a single platform at a round table. This dialogue format always gives the maximum effect and is widely used in the Airborne Forces.

It is expected that the main result of the round table will be the formation of unified approaches to the development of scientifically grounded requirements for weapons, military and special equipment for airborne assault formations of a new type.
