The youth soldiers of the Chelyabinsk region came to the aid of fellow countrymen from the Nagaybaksky district, helping rescuers to extinguish fires in the forest belt. For two days, pupils of the military-patriotic club “Rubezh” fought against the elements in the area between the children’s recreation camp “Rodnichki” and the village of Paris.

Forest fires engulfed the south of the Chelyabinsk region – the Kartalinsky and Nagaybaksky districts. According to the head of the military-patriotic club “Rubezh” Anatoly Kosalapov, there have not been such large-scale burnings here for a very long time. The situation was aggravated by a three-month drought and strong winds, which spread the fire at a tremendous speed.

Youth soldiers Roman Kravchenko, Andrey Baikin, Danila Yuskin and their leader Anatoly Kosalapov worked in a chain with other volunteers, firefighters and rescuers. Taking shovels with them, they stopped the advancing front, shoveling the burning layer of soil into the depths of the fire. We walked from the village of Paris to the children’s health camp “Rodnichok”, in which two weeks ago the profile junior shift ended.

Yunarmeytsy Roman Kravchenko and Andrey Baikin are members of the expeditions “Watch of Memory in the Northern Crimea”, they have gold TRP badges. Roman was awarded the medal “Junarmeyskaya Valor” 3rd degree, plans to enter a military school, and his friend Andrey – in the Ufa Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Another junior soldier Danila Yuskin has repeatedly become a prize-winner of the regional stages of the All-Russian Olympiad in English, and is a finalist of the KVN Copper League.
