The first training session of the Main Naval Parade on the Neva River was successful. An analysis of the actions of the crews of warships and boats based on the results of the training was carried out and appropriate recommendations were issued. This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov.
In total, according to Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, about 20 warships and boats of various classes and displacement of the Russian Navy will take part in the first training session of the Main Naval Parade in the water area of the Neva River in St. Petersburg. The training was held from 05.00 to 06.00 on July 13. Among the participants in the training are small missile ships Zeleny Dol and Odintsovo, missile boats, Raptor landing craft, anti-sabotage boats of the Grachonok type, mine defense ships Aleksandr Obukhov and Pavel Khrenov, which have the largest the world with a hull made of composite materials, as well as border boats of the “Mongoose” type.
“At present, the phased installation of ships of the static parade line on the Neva continues. The frigate “Admiral Kasatonov” and the small missile ship “Grad Sviyazhsk” have already occupied their points, “the commander-in-chief of the Navy noted.
A working group consisting of representatives of the Main Command of the Navy, the command of the Baltic Fleet and the Leningrad Naval Base took measurements of the intervals between ships and checked that the crews of ships and boats were performing the task of maintaining a given speed and keeping ships on a given course while following them along the Neva channel from Blagoveshchenskoe to Troitsky bridges. The organization of communications with ships and compliance with navigational safety measures were also checked.
Particular attention was paid to checking the actions of the ship crews “Main command post of the ship – Combat information post – Navigator of the ship”, specialists of navigational combat units of ships, as well as watch signalmen.
