The results of the competition “The best pedagogical worker of federal state professional educational institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia” for the past academic year were summed up at the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Arkhangelsk region.
This event is held every two years in order to improve the level of professional skills of employees, improve the educational process, disseminate advanced teaching experience and identify the best. The competition was held in three stages. In total, 23 teaching staff took part in it.
The first stage was carried out in the educational institutions themselves. Based on its results, 15 people went to the second absentee stage, during which the competition commission analyzed the participants’ submissions and assessed their portfolios.
To participate in the third stage, the contestants posted educational, methodological and author’s developments on pedagogical Internet resources, prepared video versions of a fragment of a lesson in an academic discipline or a professional module, conducted creative self-presentation and a master class.
According to the results of the competition, Sergei Repkin, the master of industrial training of the FKP of educational institution No. 5, became the winner. In his video version of a fragment of a lesson in the profession of “Seamstress”, he used various techniques and methods of teaching: video materials, group and individual forms of organizing activities. In addition to the educational process, he is an active participant in various online teaching communities. For example, in 2019 he was a line expert for a demo exam according to WORLDSKILLS Russia standards. In his spare time, the teacher Repkin is fond of making Pomor toys – wooden sharkunks, and is also the head of the children’s video studio “Together” and actively participates in the development of the “Good Robot” children’s technical creativity club.
