In Sviyazhsk, an open water competition Sviaga Svim was held at a distance of 3.5 km and 1.5 km along the coastal tourist zone of the Sviyazhsk Island-City Museum Reserve, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This time, the popular competition among swimmers was held from 9 to 11 July.

According to the results of the 3.5 km swim among women, Svetlana Erpyleva, a senior specialist in social work with convicts in correctional colony No. 5 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, won a bronze medal.

For the first time, another employee of IK-5 Mikhail Lyukshonkov took part in such competitions. He went to the start with 120 swimmers and successfully covered the distance of 1.5 km.
