The repair of the Kievsky Vokzal pier, one of the oldest in the capital, has been completed, the press service of the Moscow city economy complex reported. It is located on the Berezhkovskaya embankment not far from the Kievsky Station square, between the Bogdan Khmelnitsky and Borodinsky bridges.

During the renovation work, the metal fences were put in order, the worn-out wooden flooring was replaced with a wood-polymer composite coating. This material with a wood-like texture is more resistant to moisture and does not require special maintenance, and its rough surface prevents slipping.

How the pier Kievsky Vokzal is being updated

Renovation of the Kievsky Vokzal pier is one of the stages of creating a comfortable urban environment in Dorogomilov. In 2019, the square of Kievsky Station, Dorogomilovskaya and Kievskaya streets were landscaped. In 2020, the embankments of Taras Shevchenko and Berezhkovskaya, Ukrainian Boulevard, 1st and 2nd Borodinsky streets were transformed.

This year, it is planned to plant trees and bushes in Dorogomilov, equip one sports and three playgrounds, and install a complex of sheds, equipped according to the principle of “dry feet”, near the Kievsky railway station.
