The development of bilateral trade in agricultural products was discussed today at the plenary session of the business mission of Russian exporting companies with the Republic of Singapore. The online event was attended by representatives of public authorities and business of the two countries.

Relations between Russia and Singapore are actively developing. Our country exports confectionery, sunflower oil and other products to the republic. At the same time, there is significant potential for further expansion of the list of supplied goods.

As the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sergey Levin noted, Singapore is an important trade partner of Russia in Southeast Asia. The increase in the volume of mutual supplies, among other things, is facilitated by the absence of customs duties when exporting domestic products. According to him, a permanent representative of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture will be sent to Singapore this year to realize the existing potential.

The business mission that has opened today, in which 37 domestic companies and 9 industry unions take part, is also aimed at the development of agricultural cooperation between the countries. Within the framework of the event, 120 meetings are planned between representatives of Russian and Singaporean business.
