More than 900 jobs are planned to be created.
Seven enterprises received the status of a resident of a special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow in the first half of 2021. Until 2030, they plan to invest almost 10 billion rubles in the development of their industries.
“Since the beginning of the year, seven high-tech enterprises have received the status of a resident of the special economic zone of the capital. The companies plan to implement projects in such areas as the production of electric trucks and components for electric transport, cable car systems, injectables for cosmetology, software products for contact centers and video conferencing systems. The volume of declared investments is 9.9 billion rubles, and residents also plan to create more than 900 jobs, “said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.
A significant share of the planned investments – about 8.7 billion rubles – falls on two residents of the cluster of medical technologies, equipment and the biopharmaceutical industry. Leader Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Alexander Prokhorovstressed that two more residents who plan to invest in the capital’s production a total of 713 million rubles have entered the cluster of information and communication technologies.
Residents of the special economic zone enjoy economic preferences, including duty-free imports of goods and services, a zero tax rate on property and transport, and a preferential rate on profits. This makes the special economic zone of the capital attractive to industrial investors.
General Director of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow, Gennady Degtev, noted that since its inception, residents have saved more than three billion rubles on tax payments. Thanks to this, the cost of production is reduced, which means that companies gain competitive advantages in the market and can invest the freed up funds in the development of production.
The Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone consists of five sites with a total area of 223.3 hectares. One of them is located in Pechatniki and four in Zelenograd – Alabushevo, Mikron, MIET and Angstrem. Technopolis residents include manufacturers of microelectronics, optical solutions, composites, medical devices and equipment, pharmaceuticals, IT solutions, energy efficient technologies, inspection and educational equipment, as well as air disinfection systems and refrigeration equipment.
