180 units of weapons and military equipment of various nomenclature were received by the troops of the Central Military District (CVD) in June this year. This was announced by the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin.

“In June, the troops of the district received one hundred and eighty units of modern and modernized models of equipment of various nomenclature,” said Colonel-General Alexander Lapin.

The equipment received includes the modernized Shturm-S anti-tank missile systems, the Sky-U radar stations, as well as the Tornado four-wheel drive armored bonnet vehicles with increased payload and special equipment of the signal troops.

The arrival of equipment made it possible to complete the rearmament of command brigades of two armies of the military district in Siberia and the Volga region, an anti-tank unit of an artillery brigade in Kuzbass, and also a radio engineering battalion of the air force and air defense association in the Novosibirsk region with modern models.

The Central Military District is deployed on the territory of 29 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The district structurally includes a number of foreign objects: the 201st military base on the territory of Tajikistan, the united military base in Kyrgyzstan, as well as units on the territory of Kazakhstan.
