Servicemen of a separate RCB brigade for the protection of the Central Military District (CVO), stationed in the Sverdlovsk Region, carried out a technical revision of the power supply system for the smoke exhaust of the TDA-3 smoke machine.

The revision affected the power supply system of the unit responsible for the preparation of the smoke mixture. The military innovators combined the battery installation of the unit with the on-board circuit of the Kamaz vehicle, on the chassis of which the TDA-3 equipment is located. The improvement made it possible to reduce the percentage of self-discharge of the battery of the starting system of the smoke unit, as well as to minimize the voltage drop during long flights and at high load.

The TDA-3 machine is designed for setting surface-based and, when aerosols are raised, to start in order to mask troops and objects from reconnaissance systems and protection from high-precision weapon guidance
