On July 13, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved and sent for domestic approval to the states of the Eurasian Economic Union the draft Protocol on Amendments to the Treaty on the Union Customs Code concerning the regulation of foreign electronic commerce.

The draft Protocol defines the procedure and conditions for the import into the customs territory of the Union of goods purchased by individuals on Internet sites, the specifics of their customs declaration and payment of customs duties, the possibility of shipment of such goods from a customs (“bonded”) warehouse, as well as the introduction of the institute of an e-commerce operator …

The results of the consideration of the project in the EAEU states will be discussed at the Commission’s site in the second half of 2021.
