At the 201st Russian military base, stationed in Tajikistan, a command-and-staff exercise with the involvement of about 1,000 servicemen was completed.

The units involved in the exercise marched to the Lyaur and Sambuli training grounds, where the servicemen deployed mobile field command posts and communication centers. With the commanders of the subunits, as well as with the chiefs of the combat arms and services of the formation, command and control of the troops were practiced in a dynamically changing situation. Questions of repelling the enemy’s offensive and launching a counteroffensive were touched upon. Particular attention was paid to covering Russian military facilities from radar reconnaissance, as well as comprehensive protection of command posts from air assets and sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

Command and staff vehicles, radio stations of various capacities, satellite and video conferencing stations were involved in the three-day exercise.
