Under the Agreement, schoolchildren from Moscow will be able to go to the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug on educational and tourist trips, and students from Ugra will be able to visit cultural and scientific institutions of the capital.
In the capital, a trilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism was signed between Moscow, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug) and the Lukoil company. The ceremony was attended by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra Natalya Komarova and Vagit Alekperov, President of PJSC Lukoil.
“Today we are signing a unique document between two constituent entities of the Russian Federation and one of the largest oil companies in our country: between Ugra, Lukoil and Moscow – on the development of children’s, school, family tourism, on improving the quality and support from the regional authorities and the company. I think this is a good undertaking, which will be continued with other regions and companies, ”he said.
The Moscow Mayor thanked Natalya Komarova and Vagit Alekperov for supporting such social initiatives.
The Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug noted that the region is interested in the development of the tourism industry. “We have something to show, we invite everyone to Ugra, you can come to work for us,” said Natalya Komarova.
Vagit Alekperov emphasized that the participation of PJSC Lukoil in this project shows its commitment to the development of the cities where the company operates.
“Together with the leadership of Ugra, we are interested in monotowns such as Kogalym, Langepas and Pokachi, to receive a new impetus in development and from monocities to turn into cities that would become diversified, with a unique infrastructure, with oceanariums, water parks, and botanical gardens. And most importantly, the presence here in Moscow of our base oil university named after Gubkin provides a bridge so that future students from school could get acquainted with the industry that is high-tech today and implements the most modern digital technologies, ”said Vagit Alekperov …
The agreement is designed for five years, during which the parties plan to bring relations between Moscow and Ugra in the field of tourism to a new level of development. Promising directions of tourism development in two regions – event, business, ethnographic, ecological, sports, medical and gastronomic.
Within the framework of the Agreement, schoolchildren from Ugra will have the opportunity to go on an educational journey to Moscow, get acquainted with innovative industries and industries operating in the capital. Moscow schoolchildren, in turn, will be able to visit the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug as part of an educational and tourist trip.
The plans include the formation of new tourist routes, including visits to the sights of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and Moscow, including within the framework of the “City of Discovery” school and educational program and the “Travel Ugra” project.
Among the objects of interest for tourists that have been opened in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug in recent years are the multimedia park “My History” in Surgut, the cultural and sports complex “Galaktika” with an oceanarium, a branch of the State Academic Maly Theater of Russia and the cultural and exhibition center of the Russian Museum in Kogalym. It is also planned to assist in the development of children’s, youth and family tours.
Experts from the two regions will continue to exchange experience on tourism development and tourism regulation. Conferences, seminars, round tables and other industry events will be held for them. In addition, study tours in two regions are organized for representatives of tour operators, travel agencies and the media.
The implementation of the agreement will allow creating new projects in the tourism and hospitality industry, improving the quality of services for tourists coming to Moscow and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, and, accordingly, increasing mutual tourist flows.
