An exhibition of contemporary academic art “Alexander Nevsky. Past. Present ”, the event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Andrey Kartapolov, sculptors and artists.

The exhibition presents the works of painters, sculptors, monumental artists who worked on the creation of the Main Church of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Among them are folk artists of Russia Vasily Nesterenko and Salavat Shcherbakov, Honored Artist of Russia Dashi Namdakov, sculptor Vitalia Shanov, architect Dmitry Smirnov, as well as painters from the Grekov Studio of War Artists and the Anastasia Baryshnikova Workshop.

“I invite everyone here, come, look, touch, feel Alexander Yaroslavich, feel the power of our soldiers, the depth of the soul of a Russian person of the 13th century and a Russian person today. As an almost epic hero comes to life under the brush, under the chisel of our contemporary authors, ”added the deputy head of the military department.

The exposition of the exhibition shows monumental sculptures, bronze bas-reliefs, art canvases, sketches of mosaics, modern icons, exclusive works made in the style of Palekh painting, as well as samples of weapons and ammunition from the time of Alexander Nevsky.
