Servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, together with a charitable foundation, held a humanitarian action in the village of Machkalashen in the Martuni region, located near the demarcation line.
As part of the humanitarian action, officers of the humanitarian response center of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, together with a representative of a public organization, donated soup sets and kitchen sets.
“Today, a humanitarian action was held in the village of Machkalashen, during which humanitarian aid was given in the form of kitchen and food sets to the families of internally displaced persons in the amount of 14 families and 3 families with many children,” said Ruslan Ivanov, an officer of the Humanitarian Response Center.
Also, the peacekeepers talked with the local population, examined the places of residence and accepted applications from internally displaced persons for essential essential property.
“There are 415 people living in the village at the moment. They mainly work in vegetable gardens and fields. Well, of course, a very good deed, 14 families received food and kitchen utensils. I want to say a big thank you to the leader of this action, ”said the head of the administration of the village of Machkalashen Lernik Avanesyan.
In total, through charitable organizations and foundations, the Russian peacekeepers transferred more than 220 tons of humanitarian supplies to the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, including, in addition to food and essentials, specialized medical equipment and primary diagnostic kits for healthcare institutions.
In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were announced.
A peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation has been deployed to control the ceasefire and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh.
