The station is scheduled to open by the end of 2023.

A sculptural work in the spirit of minimalism will appear at the future Novomoskovskaya metro station. It will symbolize the movement and dynamic development of the capital. This was told by the chief architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov

“The platform part will be decorated with a column sculpture by the famous Russian artist Dashi Namdakov. It will be executed in the spirit of minimalism. The symmetry of the sculpture itself will contrast with the asymmetry of the overall volume of the building. The sculpture will be made of fiber-reinforced concrete panels, cast according to individual shapes with subsequent manual processing, ”he said.

The station itself, inside and out, will be finished with durable materials: natural stone, safety glass, fiber-reinforced concrete, composite and aluminum panels. Also, more ventilation equipment will be installed at the station, which will increase the air supply.

The illumination of the passenger area will reveal and accentuate the sculptural forms. Natural and artificial lighting will be harsh, allowing the shadows to play differently on the pillars, creating a changing atmosphere. Recessed lights accentuate the perforated outer shell. The entrance group will be decorated with a departure console.

“The name of the station“ Novomoskovskaya ”and the idea of a vector for the development of a new dynamic Moscow were taken as the basis for the architectural and artistic concept. In addition, the facility itself is located in a complex traffic intersection. The facade cladding will be made of perforated sheets, with a large amount of glazing, which will ensure maximum illumination of the interior. It is planned to start the movement of trains on the new section of the Sokolnicheskaya line by the end of 2023, ”stressed Sergei Kuznetsov.

The Novomoskovskaya station will be located along the Solntsevo – Butovo – Varshavskoe highway at the intersection with Alexandra Monakhova Street. Its total area, together with overground and underground pedestrian pavilions, staircases, elevator shafts, will be about 15 thousand square meters. The opening of the station will improve transport services for the residents of the TyNAO and the Yuzhnoye Butovo region. In addition, residents of the new quarters of the Kommunarka settlement will be able to use the station.
