The spring 2021 conscription was completed in the regions of the Central Military District (CVD). The head of the organizational and mobilization department of the Central Military District, Major General Alexander Linkov, told the journalists about this.
“The conscription assignment set by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was completed on time and in full, despite the fact that the activities were carried out in difficult epidemiological conditions. More than 52 thousand young people have been drafted into the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation from the territory of the regions where the Central Military District is deployed, ”said Major General Alexander Linkov.
The press service of the Central Military District clarified that 14 military echelons, about 20 aircraft, as well as road transport, which underwent special processing, were involved in the delivery of conscripts.
All young men at the collection points passed tests for the presence of coronavirus and were sent to serve only if the results were negative. During their stay at assembly points and on their way to military units, all young people were provided with personal respiratory protection equipment, hot meals, bank and personal electronic cards. In addition, all employees of military commissariats were vaccinated against COVID-19.
This spring, about 140 young scientists called up from the regions of the Central Military District were sent to serve in the scientific divisions of the Ministry of Defense, of which at least half to the military innovative technopolis “ERA”. Also, about 150 young men, selected from the regions of the Urals, Siberia and the Volga region, will fulfill their constitutional duty to defend the Motherland as part of the presidential regiment of the FSO of Russia.
On the territory of the Central Military District, the conscription took place in 28 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, with the exception of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, where conscription events take place in the fall. In total, during the conscription, more than 52 thousand people were sent to the troops from the regions of the Central Military District, which is about 40% of the all-Russian spring conscription.
