On July 17, Deputy Ministers Ilya Denisov and Viktor Nichiporchuk during a working trip visited a number of settlements of the Republic, where a difficult forest fire situation persists.

At present, 36 wildfires continue to operate in the settlements of Kuerelyakh, Dikimdya, Keptin, on an area of 250 thousand hectares. A fire safety post has been set up near the village of Magaras. An airmobile group of specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia is involved in extinguishing – 500 people and 85 pieces of equipment.

The Deputy Ministers checked the equipment and assessed the measures taken to prevent the transfer of fire to settlements.

“Now the situation in the area is not easy, we were at the site of extinguishing fires. The personnel of the fire fighters – employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, forestry protection, volunteers – everything works competently. Counter annealing is carried out, mineralized strips are laid along the villages, and individual fires are eliminated. High temperatures and windy weather complicate the work and contribute to the threat of transition from a ground fire to a top fire. The EMERCOM employees of Russia have already had a positive experience in extinguishing a top fire from monitors in the Megino-Kangalassky region, ”said I. Denisov, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Russia.

He also noted that the protection of settlements in preventive whole is carried out in advance. The State Fire Inspectorate carried out inspections of fire safety standards by municipal authorities. It was recommended to expand the mineralized strips along the settlements. All the forces and means of the territorial system of the RSChS are put on high alert.

“At the moment, there is no need to increase the EMERCOM of Russia grouping on the territory of the region, there are enough forces and means to act as intended. Intra-subject maneuvering of forces and assets is carried out in a timely manner. The operational headquarters is taking all the necessary measures to build up and move the grouping ”- concluded I. Denisov.

In turn, Deputy Minister Viktor Nichiporchuk pointed out that during the elimination of emergency situations, it is very important to keep the radio and satellite communication facilities in working order and prevent loss of control. “The importance of the smooth functioning of the infrastructure of cellular operators cannot be underestimated. It is unacceptable to deprive citizens in trouble of the opportunity to promptly seek help, ”the deputy head of the department emphasized.

For reference: On the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) there are 213 wildfires in the total area covered by the fire of 1 365 769.6 hectares, of which 8 centers have been localized on an area of 104 460 hectares. 1 162 363.6 hectares are forested, 203 406 hectares are non-forested. The active combustion area is 2,048.65 ha.

Continuous monitoring of smoke content in the settlements of the region is carried out, laboratory control over the content of chemicals in the atmospheric air of populated areas continues.

During the day, 86 samples of atmospheric air were examined on the territory of 7 districts and in the city of Yakutsk.
