To maintain a high level of combat training of the reacting units, the EMERCOM of Russia conducts fire-fighting exercises. Facilities with a mass presence of people, transport infrastructure, socially significant and potentially dangerous facilities become training grounds.

For example, specialists of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Altai Territory chose the Titov Arena sports complex to practice firefighting skills. The facility has a capacity of 5,600 people and an area of over 6,500 m2.

According to the plan of the exercise, the conditional fire was determined in the dressing room and in the locker room for athletes on the basement floor of the building. The smoke spread quickly throughout the premises. Firefighters rescued 93 people, 8 people were evacuated from the smoke-filled area and transferred to doctors. The exercise leadership also complicated the training environment with additional introductions that required maximum concentration and quick response.

In the Perm Territory, complex tactical firefighting exercises were held in the building of the historical park “Russia – My History”. According to the tactical plan, a fire broke out on the roof of the building as a result of repair work.

Museum officials reported to the fire department and began evacuating staff and visitors. The call of the GDZS rescued four people who could not get out on their own to leave the premises. To extinguish a simulated fire, a fire train was also involved, the personnel of which organized 2 main lines to extinguish the fire.

In Orenburg, firefighters of the emergency department held exercises in the building of the Fakel hotel. The training was carried out in cooperation with the fire and rescue units of the Russian Emergencies Ministry with representatives of the police, ambulance and other emergency services.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the personnel, it was possible to eliminate the consequences of a simulated fire in the shortest possible time and achieve all the objectives of the exercise.
