Servicemen of the Red Banner Command Brigade of the Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District, stationed in the Leningrad Region, provided covert command and control of the troops during the complex combat readiness exercises.

During the exercise, the servicemen were alerted and began to carry out combat training tasks to ensure the formation with all types of communications.

Signalers on standard equipment made marches to the concentration areas, where they deployed field communication centers, set up combat guards, made camouflage and organized stable troop control over various types of communication at a distance of more than 300 km.

In addition, in the concentration area and during the march, the servicemen repulsed the attack of the conditional sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy.

When performing the tasks, modern equipment and communication facilities were involved, such as satellite communication stations R-441 Liven, digital communication complexes P-240I-4 Pereselenets, command-staff vehicles R-149MA1 and radio relay stations R-419L1, radio stations medium power R-166-05 “Artek”.

In total, more than 700 servicemen and about 250 units of weapons and special equipment of the command brigade of the formation were involved in the complex exercises on combat readiness.
