Press Service of the Mayor and the Moscow Government

This was made possible by improving the situation with COVID-19. In the capital, the number of detected patients and the number of hospitalizations are decreasing weekly.

Six thousand beds, which were previously repurposed for the treatment of patients with COVID-19, will be returned to planned work in Moscow. Told about it Sergei Sobyanin in an interview with the program “Week in the City” on the TV channel “Russia 1”.

According to him, this became possible due to the stabilization of the epidemiological situation in the city. The situation is still difficult, but every week the number of detected patients and the number of hospitalizations are decreasing.

“How did you manage to achieve this? Thanks, of course, to those restrictive measures that were introduced, mass vaccination, and strict compliance with sanitary requirements. But, perhaps, the most important thing is that Muscovites have begun to take a very responsible attitude to the observance of sanitary protection measures, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.

Improvement of the situation in the city allowed to remove some restrictions. So, from July 19, mandatory QR codes for visiting restaurants and cafes will be canceled, children’s playrooms, nightclubs, bars and food courts will be able to open (while maintaining the necessary sanitary requirements). Seating must be created for concerts, sports and other events. In addition, if the QR codes are not verified, then the simultaneous presence of more than 500 people at the event is still prohibited.
