Three educational and methodological centers “Avangard” opened on the territory of the Central Military District (CVD) in the Penza, Ulyanovsk and Novosibirsk regions in June this year.

The centers are represented by expositions of historical and modern weapons. They are also equipped with sports grounds, information stands and various educational and material resources for teaching and educating young people. The technical equipment of the Avangard branches allows them to conduct military-patriotic camps for children of pre-conscription age, as well as various cultural, educational and sporting events of a patriotic orientation.

In total, more than 15 branches of the Avangard educational and methodological centers in various constituent entities of the district have been opened and fully operational on the territory of the Central Military District. The opening of new centers has increased educational opportunities to 35,000 children a year.

The Central Military District is deployed on the territory of 29 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The district structurally includes a number of foreign objects: the 201st military base on the territory of Tajikistan, the united military base in Kyrgyzstan, as well as units on the territory of Kazakhstan.
