As part of the national team, Russian junior volleyball players won the “gold” of the European U-16 Championship, which was held in Hungary and Slovakia from 10 to 18 July. As part of the national team, an army athlete, a pupil of the sports school (ORC) in Abakan “CSKA-Khakassia” of the Samara branch of CSKA Anna Pogorelchenko, made her contribution to the victory of Russia.

Teams from Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia took part in the competition.

The Russian national team successfully played in the subgroup with the team of Belgium (3: 0), Poland (3: 0), Turkey (3: 2), Czech Republic (3: 0), Hungary (3: 0), our volleyball players won in the semifinals over the team of Bulgaria (3: 0). The final match took place in the Hungarian city of Nyiregyhaza. The Russians beat the Italian team with a score of 3: 1 (25:21, 22:25, 25:21, 25:16).

After a confident victory of the girls, Anna Pogorelchenko’s mentor did not hide her emotions on social networks:
