Medics of the 49th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District (YuVO) have completed the vaccination of family members of military personnel with the first component “Gam-COVID-Vak” (“Sputnik V”).
According to the commander of the 49th combined-arms army of the Southern Military District, Lieutenant General Yakov Ryazantsev, at the moment, 100% of family members of military personnel have received the first component of the vaccine against the new coronavirus infection.
In the Southern Military District, vaccination against the new coronavirus infection of military personnel and their family members, civilian personnel and recruits of the spring 2021 draft continues.
At the moment, more than 245 thousand people have been vaccinated with the two components of Sputnik-V, of which more than 155 thousand are military personnel and their family members, over 33 thousand are civilian personnel. Also, the vaccination was given to students in military educational institutions and employees of organizations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Vaccination is carried out on the basis of the branches of the district military clinical hospital of the Southern Military District and the medical units of the formations and military units of the district associations.
Before the introduction of the vaccine, the specialists of the medical service inform the patients about the effect of the drug “Gam-COVID-Vak” (“Sputnik-V”) on the human body. Vaccination is carried out on a voluntary basis and after signing the consent for the introduction of the components of the drug. After the administration of the drug for half an hour, all persons are under the supervision of doctors.
More than 40 vaccination posts have been deployed on the territory of the military district and over 60 vaccination teams have been formed, half of which are mobile.
